Our very first cruise in stunning Halong Bay Vietnam

We recently took an incredible journey to one of the most beautiful parts of Vietnam, Ha Long Bay while we’re waiting for citizenship paperwork to be completed for the recent adoption of our boy Evan Binh Minh. It’s around the middle of the Vietnam and China ocean, where the red A is below:

Halong Bay Cruise

We had a amazing 2 day cruise on the superb Indochina Sails. Their boats are really basic, in among a Chinese junk ship, and an classic wood Galleon ship. It had been definitely outstanding, sort of like getting in the Pirates on the Caribbean or Lord on the Rings movie! It was our 1st cruise and we truly enjoyed it, incredibly luxurious, but more cost-effective than a hotel!

The bay is between Vietnam and China, and has hundreds of islands, caves, and thrilling wonders, with a lot of neighborhood fishing boats.

Portion in the tour of the bay included swimming from the warm, very salty ocean on a beach off one on the islands. It turned out Evan’s initial time inside ocean, he was mesmerized!

Then, we were taking with a floating fishing village subsidized through the Vietnam federal government. Almost everything on water, including floating retailers that came as much as our boat with their wares, latched appropriate beside us as we have been travelling, plus a floating school! It had been absolutely unreal how these people live where by they work. You may see all of this inside pictures beneath:

Ultimately, we went to a cave known as surprise cave that was a massive underground cavern inside 1 in the island mountains! There ended up even are living bats inside of that we saw hanging all around, and because we were the initial site visitors towards cave in the morning, we got to view them in their organic habitat flying approximately the back on the cave! Evan was asleep and suddenly woke up inside this cave, I wonder what he believed? He seemed very fascinated.

We wished it was longer and will definitely be back for a longer tour, as there is so much to see in this beautiful place, the photos give a tiny glimpse of what you see when your there. I highly recommend you visit this part of the world… Fascinating!
